WHAT FAITH IS

For we walk by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5: 7



Faith is not a Feeling

Many have failed to receive by faith because they expect to "feel" a certain way before they can receive from God. The Word of God is the source of faith and it has nothing to do with feelings. We have been talking about sense knowledge. Is feeling in the revelation/spiritual realm or the sense realm? Feeling is in the sense realm. Feelings can be a real thief in the area of faith. In reality feeling in itself has no power. the real power is in what you believe, not what you feel. I repeat, it is what you believe that matters, not how you feel. Faith perceives as real fact what is not revealed to the senses because faith says; the Bible says it and that settles it! You really know that you are maturing spiritually when you start to not be moved or controlled by your feelings. Feelings are not dependable and very circumstantial! Walk by faith and not by feelings.

HEALING FOR THE WHOLE HUMAN RACE
God has actually already healed the entire human race. When Bernard? When He crucified Jesus! Jesus did Jesus bare the sins of the entire human race? Yes! We why would you say he did not bare the sicknesses or heal the entire human race? You are revealing your biblical ignorance when you say Jesus did not heal the entire human race. America is filled with highly educated, spiritually ignorant people. Excuse me...
Here is where and why so many people in the human race struggle with healing; feelings are so powerful that they cannot ignore them and trust the Word. Does the Word change because you don't feel good? NO! The Word says you are healed! Some people say yeah, but bra Bernie, I know someone that believed that and died. Well, I am glad that they did not die not believing God. If they were believing God and they died they are definitely healed in His Presence!

PROOF THAT HEALING IS OURS
Here are some verses that you can stand on for healing;


Isaiah 53: 5 Notice; with His striped we are healed.
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Matthew 8: 17 Notice; He bare our sicknesses
17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

1 Peter 2: 24 Note; by whose stripes ye (you) were healed
24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

These are true if you or the whole world feels like it or not. Our unbelief will not make the faith of God of non-effect. That's the cool thing about God. He just goes on believing His Word no matter what we or the whole world does. WOW~ I think I'll say that backwards ; WOW!


POLICE OFFICERS ILLUSTRATE FAITH
One of the best illustrations of faith vs. feeling is that of a police officer directing traffic. No matter how he feels when he wakes up and goes to work, once he gets in the middle of the street and starts directing traffic the people driving the cars obey him. Suppose he got up and said; I just don't feel like a police officer today. Would that mean that he did not have authority to direct traffic? No! The law says he is a police officer so he is whether he feels like it or not. He gets out into public and acts on what he believes (not what he feels...) and it works. That is the way faith is. You don't have to work up some kind of spiritual feeling; faith is simply acting on God's Word. So, if you are sick in the natural don't get worked up and start running to every healing line for prayer. Start meditating on the Word concerning healing (start with the scriptures I gave you today) until faith for healing becomes your reality. You are not the sick trying to get healed, you are the healed and Satan is trying to make you sick. When you know that like you know 2+2 =4 your days of sickness will be over. He is the Lord that heals you!


...for I am the LORD that healeth thee. Exodus 15:26b
